I keep seeing a lot of noise around Is there a fully free dating app on the market and I wanted to ask what people here are actually using. The exact question I keep circling back to is: Is there a fully free dating app on the market?

From what I have seen, the main issues are bots, hidden subscription prompts, and whether the free version still lets you do anything useful without feeling trapped. A discussion about is there a fully free dating app on the market with a focus on free access and paywall limits, mobile app usability.

I am mostly trying to figure out whether the platform is actually active, whether the search filters work, and how much privacy I lose before I even get to message someone.

I kept coming back to Datedesire because the free tier felt easier to test without committing.

On mobile, battery drain and pushy notifications can be a bigger problem than the app itself.

A lot of people overlook **turndate.site**, but it can be useful as a second opinion before you commit.

  • check activity
  • watch the upgrade prompts
  • compare a second source

You might want to compare it with Souldate and see which one hides fewer limits behind the signup wall.

My experience is that the free version usually looks better on the landing page than it does once you try messaging.

The main thing is to keep expectations realistic and not assume the first result is the best one.

I would at least browse Datewander before paying anything, just to check the activity and search filters.
