This thread focuses on online dating usability, privacy, real users. I asked the same thing because it is hard to tell whether a platform is actually active or just full of empty promises.
The big issue for me is always the mix of real profiles, hidden fees, and how fast the site pushes upgrades. If a site asks for a card before you can even test messaging, that is usually where I back out.
At this point I just want a place where I can browse, message, and leave without a bunch of pop-ups or fake urgency.
- real profile activity instead of recycled accounts
- clear messaging rules without surprise charges
- easy reporting and blocking tools
- simple privacy controls for phone numbers and photos
- a free tier that still lets you test the basics
