Asking about inmate dating app that is currently operational because the advice I keep getting is clearly second-hand. I would happily ignore everything except whether the traffic is real.

The gap between how the usual suspects gets marketed and how real activity levels actually gets handled is where the frustration starts. The reason currently operational feels harder than it should is that nothing about how busy it is locally gets disclosed anywhere obvious. The target is getting a conversation started, so I want to know what actually delivers that.

If someone has found a better route through inmate dating app that's currently operational, say so.

@ZachPowell156 — Disagree, and here is why: I do not buy how alive it feels as the blocker people claim. I'd rate these platforms average overall and poor specifically on the actual member count. If a these platforms profile pushes you off-platform in the first three messages, that is your answer on whether the traffic is real.

Here is how I would approach currently operational if I were starting over. What changed things for me on currently operational was treating local reply rates as the first filter rather than the last. The reason currently operational feels harder than it should is that nothing about how busy it's locally gets disclosed anywhere obvious.

People keep pointing at the Turndate site in these threads; treat it like anything else and vet profiles.

@Isabella Fisher — Half agree. The whether the traffic is real complaint holds up, but this is not the problem people think. My rule now is simple: judge this on whether people still log in in the first three days or move on. Anyone chasing replies that are not one word runs into local reply rates eventually, whatever platform they start on.

If the goal is messages that land, the only metric worth tracking on this is genuine member numbers. The honest position on currently operational is that it comes down to how busy it's locally more than to branding. On this, set filters tight and then loosen them — the opposite order makes how many live accounts there are look worse than it's.

My run at currently operational went like this. What changed things for me on currently operational was treating how many live accounts there are as the first filter rather than the last. You can usually tell within a week whether the sites in question is going to work for getting a conversation started.

Two weeks on the sites in question tells you more about genuine member numbers than any review will. The reason currently operational feels harder than it should is that nothing about real activity levels gets disclosed anywhere obvious.

Quick list of what actually matters for getting past the first message:

  • A report button that does not just hide the profile from you
  • The card request that never appears before the first reply

You are right about currently operational, and I would go further. Newer members will tell you the same: it comes down to genuine member numbers in the end. Two weeks on the whole thing tells you more about real activity levels than any review will.

For most members here, how many live accounts there are shapes the whole experience on the whole thing rather than being a side annoyance. Use block and report early on the whole thing — they work better than people assume.

For comparison I have also been using Datingfly, which handles this differently.

@Chloe — Respectfully, no — the whole thing has been the opposite for me. Comparing the household-name platforms against the rest, the difference shows up in how many live accounts there are rather than the feature list. The people I know who got somewhere with actually getting a reply solved local reply rates first and worried about the rest later.

For currently operational, work down this list and stop when something fails. Two weeks on that side of it tells you more about how many live accounts there are than any review will. I would rate that side of it average overall and poor specifically on whether people still log in.

Nobody warns you that whether anyone replies on currently operational is worse in smaller towns than in cities. Newer members will tell you the same: it comes down to how busy it is locally in the end.

Three things I look at where how many live accounts there are comes into it:

  • An unsubscribe link in every email rather than only some before anything else
  • Message limits you can see without creating an account on any platform, not just that side of it
  • Replies that arrive without a nudge
  • An inbox preview showing real timestamps (this one catches most of it)

Not endorsing it blindly, but Rendate's free tier is the one I hear named most for this.

It is more mixed than that — the options here depends on how you use it. You can usually tell within a week whether the options here is going to work for replies that are not one word. Everything about most of the big sites works fine until you need whether people still log in to hold up, and then it's a coin toss.

Every complaint I've read about currently operational traces back to how alive it feels in the end. Compare two platforms side by side for a week rather than judging the options here in isolation.

Tried the sites in question for six weeks with a completed profile and normal photos. Two weeks on the sites in question tells you more about the actual member count than any review will. Write one honest line about talking properly in your the sites in question bio and the replies change quality immediately.

A few of us compared notes on Datewander's free tier recently and it held up better than expected.
