Free dating — free dating sites on RuneDate

The gap between a free dating site and a free tier is the whole game. A free tier lets you look; a free site lets you answer. RuneDate is the second kind — messaging is not the thing we charge for, because we do not charge.

Free dating without a paywall

If a platform asks for card details before you have seen an inbox, that tells you what the product is. Walk away and lose nothing.

Most people judge a dating platform in three days, which is exactly long enough to be misled. Give it a fortnight with a finished profile before you decide anything.

What free actually means

Photos do more work than any paragraph. Three to five, one full-length, one candid, at least one with enough context that someone can ask a question about it.

Member count is the least useful number on any dating site. What matters is how many accounts near you logged in this week, and you can only find that out by setting your filter tight and looking.

Message limits stated before signup, not after.
A cancellation route you can complete without emailing anyone.
Activity timestamps that survive checking across a few days.
A report button that leads somewhere real.

Getting replies on a free site

A first message that could have been sent to anyone gets treated like it was. One specific question about something on the other profile changes the reply rate more than any premium feature.

The strongest filter is honesty in the profile. Say what you are actually looking for and the wrong matches disappear on their own.
